Der Deltec 1500i ist ein leistungsstarker Innenabschäumer für Aquarien zwischen 700 und 1.500 l. Er ist mit der neuesten Deltec-Technologie mit einer Niederspannungs-24-V-Deltec-DCC-3-Pumpe ausgestattet, die mit der mitgelieferten elektronischen Steuerung steuerbar ist. Er hat speziell für den Einsatz in einem Absetzbecken konzipiert.

Der Skimmer Deltec 1500i ist geräuschlos und vollständig abnehmbar. Darüber hinaus ist er mit einem Abfluss auf Höhe des Eimers ausgestattet, um die Wartung zu erleichtern. Der Skimmer ist außerdem mit einem Notüberlaufsystem für den Fall einer Unterbrechung der Luftversorgung ausgestattet.

Die neue DCC 3-Pumpe verfügt über einen „Softstart“, was bedeutet, dass der Rotor schrittweise auf die am Regler eingestellte Leistung beschleunigt. Bei Geräten ohne Controller geht die Beschleunigung bis zur maximalen Leistung. Diese langsame Beschleunigung ermöglicht den Start der Pumpe auch unter schwierigen Bedingungen. Die Wahl der Leistung erfolgt durch Drücken der Tasten „+“ und „–“ über den Regler mit 8 Einstellstufen. Durch Drücken der „Feed“-Taste stoppt die Pumpe für 10 Minuten. Anschließend wird mit der zuvor eingestellten Leistung fortgefahren.
