Mode opératoire :
1) Visez la plaque photo sensible du réfractomètre en direction d’une source lumineuse brillante, et ajustez l’oculaire jusqu’à ce que le réticule puisse être vu distinctement.
2) Réglage du zéro : Ouvrez la plaque photo sensible et déposez 2 à 3 gouttes d’eau osmosée sur le prisme principal. Fermez la plaque photo sensible et appuyez-la doucement afin que l’eau se répartisse sur la surface entière du prisme sans formation de bulles d’air ou de zones sèches. Laissez l’échantillon s’imprégner sur le prisme environ 30 secondes. Alors ajustez la vis de calibration jusqu’à ce que la frontière entre la zone lumineuse et la zone sombre coïncide avec la ligne du zéro. L’ajustage du réfractomètre en utilisant la fonction de compensation de température doit se faire dans un environnement dont les conditions de température sont de 20°C (68°F). Lorsque la température de l’environnement de mesure (et non la température de l’échantillon) varie de plus de 4°C, nous recommandons une nouvelle calibration afin de maintenir la précision.
3) La procédure de mesure opératoire se fait après calibration et ce de la même façon que la calibration pratiquement. Ouvrez la plaque photo sensible. Nettoyez la surface du prisme à l’aide d’un coton doux. Déposez 2-3 gouttes de la solution à mesurer sur le prisme principal. Fermez la plaque photo sensible et appuyez légèrement dessus, alors vous pouvez lire la mesure correspondant à la limite entre la zone lumineuse et la zone sombre. La lecture est la valeur de la solution testée.
4) Après utilisation, nettoyez la surface du prisme et protégez la plaque à l’aide d’un petit morceau de coton humide. Il se positionnera parfaitement après assèchement.
